Abstract: A relatively small, universal, oscillating flag post bracket device, mountable on surfaces such as walls, posts, trees, etc, in a similar manner to the millions of flag post brackets mounted to the front of businesses and residences across America. When a flag post is attached to the universal oscillating flag post bracket device, and the device is powered, it simulates a realistic waving of the flag attached to it by performing a coaxial rotatory oscillation. The device utilizes an electric motor, gears, and a pair of barrel cams, mounted in a relatively small, portable, housing, and a universal flag post bracket projecting to the exterior of the housing such that any flag (banner) post (staff) can be easily attached to it or detached from it
